I’ve been waiting 2 years to get this built and couldn’t be happier. Basically for those who don’t know, a rig is a boom assembly that hangs off the vehicle and allows you to attach the camera with a wide angle lens and snap some photos of a vehicle while blurring the background and retaining clarity on the vehicle.

The rig consists of 2 manfrotto avenger f1100 suction cups purchased off ebay for about $40 each. 3x Manfrotto Super Clamps for about $ 30 each, a camera mount for $30 and a magic arm for $150.

Here are my first photographs taken with the said rig used with a canon 40d and tokina 11-18.

Local lamborghini owner Tyler popped into a small detail shop and I shot a few pictures of his car. He loved them, and we’ve been working tirelessly to setup another shoot. This past sunday was my big day out.

We went to 3 different spots among Calgary including the new Ring Road (Stoney Trail) that makes for EXCELLENT rolling shots.

It’s a 2007 with exhaust, full carbon fibre intake and engine bay and aftermarket rims.

The car is an absolute pleasure to be around and I can’t wait to get it to my other shoot locations.
